WELCOME TO SQUADRON NINE

This site is dedicated to a group of eight "Landing Ship Tanks" called landing ship Squadron Nine and the proud officers and crewmen who served aboard them with great fortitude and pride. These ships are no longer a part of the U. S. Navy and it's landing forces, but they will not be forgotten in the hearts and minds of the men they served well.

Welcome To Home Port

For Landing Ship Tanks

SQUADRON 9

Unlike any Other Ship in the U. S. Navy, LST'S did it

all. LST was the military designation for naval vessels

created during World War II to support amphibious

operations, by carrying significant quantities of

vehicles, cargo, and landing troops directly onto and

unimproved shore.

               DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

This is a tremendous tribute to our military today!

I give it 5 stars! If you never watch another thing

about our current fighting men and women in

harm's way, you have to watch this all the way

through, especially the latter part. Semper Fi

This is another video and song about our past ,today and furure military and the men and women that have been in harm's way.
